“Emergence” is the second of our ‘lockdown’ series of exhibitions for 2020 (exhibitions put together at short notice to replace a cancelled program due to COVID 19) “Emergence” is intended to maximise the potential of our gallery to support and promote the work of a wide range of artists and makers at a time of economic and social distress for all of us.
This new exhibition will showcase work by selected artists known as Artists of the Round Yard and selected makers associated with Sturt, resulting in a display of a diverse and exciting range of mediums including painting, photography, sculpture, multimedia, contemporary furniture and more.
We will not be staging an official 'opening' for this exhibition but it will be on display from next weekend onwards until 13 September.

Summer School 2021 Update
Due to ongoing and developing COVID 19 restrictions it has become necessary for us to undertake a review of what we can deliver for our Summer School 2021 (Monday 4 - Friday 8 January).
Unfortunately we will now not be able to offer on-site accommodation, meals or the social events that are normally a part of the program. In addition, the program for children’s courses has been cancelled and the adult program reduced to manageable numbers.
We deeply regret these changes, but they are made with absolute concern for the safety of everyone and to comply with current NSW Government guidelines. Anyone who has booked accommodation with us will be fully refunded and provided with information about alternative local opportunities.
We are determined, as always, to deliver as much as we can for our supporters and to ensure that as many of our courses go ahead as possible. We apologise for the inconvenience and disruption that these changes may cause and look forward to working with all enrolled students to make the best Summer School that we can in these testing times.

Sturt Cafe is offering coffee, cakes and light snacks, from Wednesday to Sunday 10am to 4pm. New capacity limits and entry conditions apply.
