| Life Before Sturt | I have been a carpenter and aluminum fabricator for the past 7 years, working in and around the pool and spa industries in Perth.

| Designing and Making Philosophy |
I enjoy designing and making furniture with hard crisp lines that are very linear and
simple in structure. I like to incorporate different mediums where I can to help enhance
certain aspects of each design. This allows a very simple overtone of complexity in what
are relatively simple pieces of furniture.

| Life After Sturt |
Eventually furniture making shall be my full-time profession, but the next few years will
be a matter of working in wood part-time. This allows the honing of my skills learnt at
Sturt, until such a time that it's feasible for me to take it up full-time.

| Acknowledgments |
I owe my whole year to my gorgeous fiancé Toni for supporting me throughout the entire
year. Without her the year would not have been possible. To my mother and sister for all
their support and love over the years and also my father Neil who had me involved with
timber from a very young age. Special thanks to my classmates, Thomas "The Tank Engine" and all the staff at Sturt.
