Student Profile
Life Before Sturt    It was a long path to Sturt! After studying for many years I entered the computing industry where I got lost for several years. One day my mother called me telling me about the Wood and Timber Show at the show grounds and that I should have a look. This planted a seed. Which initially grew into part-time wood working and then investigations into full-time wood working courses. I chose Sturt as the best option of me.

Designing and Making Philosophy    At this stage I prefer contemporary lines with a lean to simplicity following the mantra "less is more". I expect and want this to be influenced by my experiences, interactions with designs and designers.
When making, I aim for a high standard with a keen eye on how to improve and learn from the last piece.

Life After Sturt    I will continue to design and make pieces for family and friends. I'm looking to consolidate my making skills and look more into the aspects of design that may lead onto further study.

Acknowledgements    I send a big thanks and best wishes to my fellow students, Tom and the whole "Sturt Family" who have helped me directly and indirectly with their ideas, concepts and the odd coffee throughout the year.
Thanks to my family in their suggestions and in supporting another one of my ideas.
