04 Plein air painting with Evan Salmon

Working within the grounds of Frensham/Sturt, learn strategies to simplify your painting practice, allowing a more direct connection with your landscape subject as well as methods of capturing the effects of sunlight and atmosphere in a spontaneous and tonally accurate way. Focusing on a practical approach you will explore composition, optical colour mixing, palette set up, painting supports and brushes with the opportunity to produce several oil or acrylic paintings over the week.
Evan Salmon works primarily in the mediums of painting, drawing and printmaking with his more recent works focusing on the landscape surrounding his Port Kembla home.
