Wednesday 3 January – Animalia: children’s painting with Slavica Zivkovic
A fun and inspiring workshop experimenting with acrylic and watercolour paint, creating a variety of effects and exploring the vivid and brilliant world of colour in the theme of Animalia.
Thursday 4 January – Landscape in mixed-media with Slavica Zivkovic
Explore landscapes learning how to use mixed media; pastels, charcoal, pencils and more. Treescapes, seascapes, streetscapes – have fun exploring them all, resulting in complex and visually exciting work.
Friday 5 January – Creative cardboard: Picasso sculptures with Slavica Zivkovic
Get creative with sculpture! In this course with a difference, you will explore cubic sculptures in cardboard, exploring design, construction methods, and experimenting with colours and shapes to create wonderfully inventive work.
Saturday 6 January – Cactus-backed creatures with Sue Meredith
Sculpt a fantasy four-legged garden creature, incorporating a ‘garden pot’ within its back exploring the qualities of clay and colour.
Sunday 7 January – For the table: children’s clay with Sue Meredith
Using both slab construction, drape moulds and coiling techniques, design, create and decorate a small table setting: cups, plates or a crazy ‘teapot’ – enjoy a fun day in clay, experimenting with decoration and design.
Age: 7-12 years | Cost: $440 for 5 days (inclusive – morning tea and lunch provided)
Children’s clay courses: work will be fired in the Sturt kilns after the workshop is finished.
