005 Clay: magical pots! with Machiko Motoi

Turn your hand-built pot into a magical sculpture! In the creative process you will learn the techniques to hand-build in clay; coiling, pinching and joining, going on to decorate your new sculpture!
Machiko Motoi is an independent artist with interest in ceramics and performance art. Her work has been exhibited in art galleries, artist run project spaces and in public spaces around Sydney. She is currently working as a technical assistant of Ceramics at the National Art School and an art facilitator at Campbelltown Art Centre, Casula Powerhouse Art centre, Cabramatta Elysian School and Shopfront Theatre.
Note: work will be fired in the Sturt kilns after the workshop is finished. Pictured is Machiko's work
