Sturt Courses are run in full-time, part-time and short course formats.
The full-time VETAB accredited Certificate IV in Fine Woodworking, taught by Tom Harrington, attracts twelve students each year from all over Australia. A new 12 week full-time course will also be offered in 2008 for only six students.
Part-time term classes in jewellery, ceramics, wood and weaving are taught to over seventy students each week.
The significant area of growth at Sturt is the program of Short Courses, which includes courses in ceramics, jewellery, wood, textiles and many others.
Sturt Summer School continues to expand, offering a range of over twenty-five courses to more than two hundred and fifty students during January.
The first Winter School was held in the first week of July 2006, offering about 15 courses and has become a regular part of the Sturt calendar. |
